This year’s presentation of votive crosses to full and honorary members of the House of Nobility took place outside Croatia’s borders for the first time. A gathering was held on Friday, September 25, in Turin, at the La Società del Whist – Accademia Filarmonica club, an institution active since 1841. The recipients included three full members and three honorary members of the CRC House of Nobility.
The House of Nobility of the Croatian Royal Council (CRC) association is one of the organization's most active departments; it was established with the aim of bringing together noble families and lineages and preserving Croatian national culture, history, and identity, with an emphasis on family values, tradition, and history. Membership in the House of Nobility is open to individuals who are nobles or of noble descent, that is, those who have substantiated their lineage through genealogical, heraldic, and archival documentation. The CRC House of Nobility is the largest national organization of its kind, uniting Croatian noble families and comprising over one hundred Croatian families and clans. As a department of the CRC, it collaborates with similar organizations within the EU, advocating specifically for the preservation of Croatian and European identity, history, culture, and, above all, family and Christian values. Consequently, its honorary members include many distinguished noble families from most European countries. Dominik pl. Bulat Vručinić, Commissioner of the CRC House of Nobility, signed the member candidates diplomas and prepared the previously blessed votive crosses. On behalf of the CRC, Count Ante B. Mikulić presented them to the full and honorary members: Nobile Federico Bulfone Grančić di Gemona del Friuli, Nobile Nellida Argia Grančić, Nobile Andrea Rivoira, Nobile Alessandro Verga Ruffoni Arborio Mella di Castell'alfero Menon, and Count Giuseppe Rizzani.
The following day, the event was followed by a special presentation of honorary membership and a votive cross to HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Duke of Savoy, Prince of Piedmont and Prince of Venice.
